Biography
Winner of the Professional Chamber of Opera Directors, presented at the gala of the ''Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques'' in November 2008, Audrey was born in Levis, Quebec.She studied at the ''Ecole de musique Jésus-Marie'' in Lévis. She continued her studies at the ''Cégep Ste Foy'' in classical singing.While studying at Laval University in the class of Hélène Fortin, Audrey worked on various roles such as Constance in ''Dialogues des Carmelites'' by Francis Poulenc, Fire, Princess and Nightingale in ''L'enfant et la sortilèges'' from Maurice Ravel, Alcina in Alcina by GF Handel and the title role in Massenet's opera ''Cendrillon''. She sang the role of Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach for Opera Brasov in Romania. In 2008, Audrey has sung the role of Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, operetta by Johann Strauss, with the Opera Workshop at the University of Montreal under the direction of M. Jean-François Rivest.
Aware of the 2009-2010 season, she participated in various productions as a member of the Opera Studio of the Staatstheater Nürnberg. She sang the role of the young shepherd in Wagner's Tannhäuser, the first boy in Die Zauberflöte, the High Priestess in Verdi's Aida, Luigia Emilia di Liverpool in Donizetti's, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro and Anna in Nabucco Verdi. She also sang the role of Amor in Orphée et Euridice by Gluck at the''International Gluck-Nürnberg Opern-Festspiele 2010''.
Fellow of the scholarship ''Abbé-Gadbois'', University of Montreal and the ''Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques'', Audrey has a Master's degree in Performance at Laval University under the direction of Hélène Fortin, and a graduate degree specialized in opera at the University of Montreal in the class of Ms. Yolande Parent. Audrey won, in November 2008, the first prize of the Mozart Competition of the Sinfonia de Lanaudière.
Audrey is now a member of the Ensemble of Theater Görlitz, Germany.
